How does Vestrr work?

Vestrr is an online store that allows users to rent out dresses for a fraction of the retail price. Browse by brand, size or colour and make a booking on any available dress. Choose to have the dress delivered or locally pick it up from our Footscray studio located 3/74 Maribyrnong Street, Footscray Victoria 3011. The dress is yours for 4 days!  Return your dress at the end of your rental period by the agreed method and share your experience with others in the community @vestrrau.

Does Vestrr have a physical store?

We have a boutique located in Foostcray where you can come to pick up your dress that you've hired. You are also welcome to come and try on dresses by appointment. To schedule a Try On booking at our boutique, please email us hello@vestrr.com with the dress(es) you'd like to try and your event date. A member of our team will be in your with you to arrange your Try On.

What if I accidentally stain or damage the dress?

We understand that these things can happen. In the event that the dress is accidentally stained or damaged, please contact us immediately. Appropriate charges will be made for the dress' repair or replacement after careful review to your payment card. The cost of the replacement will amount to the agreed retail value (RRP) of the dress as displayed on the dress' details page. 

Vestrr reminds you to treat all dresses like you would your own.

Who cleans the dress?

Vestrr will have the dress ready and clean before and after every rental. We will be responsible for the dry cleaning and quality control of all our dresses.

Does Vestrr do Try Ons?

Vestrr's Try On cost is $50 AUD which includes return express shipping via Australia Post's Express Network. Each Try On will be for a 2-day rental period. You will receive the dress on a Tuesday for return on a Wednesday. The dates of the Tuesday - Wednesday 2-day rental period is subject to the dress' availability and your event date.

To schedule a Try On booking, please email us hello@vestrr.com with the dress(es) you'd like to try, your event date and delivery postcode and suburb. A member of our team will be in touch with you to arrange your Try On. 

Please note that we are unable to hold dresses for your actual event date, until a booking order is placed.

How is Vestrr environmentally friendly?

Vestrr has a strong desire to operate as an environmentally friendly company. We believe that sharing dresses amongst a community can increase the number of wears per dress, creating a much more sustainable way for everyone to stay in fashion.

What is Vestrr's Service & Handling Fee?

Vestrr's Service & Handling Fee covers the transaction costs and helps operate and maintain Vestrr's Site (www.vestrr.com.au). If you cancel an order due to a change of mind, Vestrr will refund you the rental fee minus the service fee and shipping if any. However, if Vestrr cancels an order, or the dress you've received is not what you ordered, you will be eligible for the a full refund of the rental cost including this service fee.

How does the 4-day rental period work?

Every rental is for a 4-day period. When placing an order, simply choose the day you'd like to receive the dress. In the past, customers have chosen a rental start date to be 1-2 days before their event date. You are responsible for returning the dress on the 4th day of your rental period. A dress is considered returned when it is dropped off and scanned at Australia Post using the provided postage bag and paid express label, dropped off in the yellow Express Postal Box or dropped off at our Collingwood location. Late fees will apply if the dress is returned late.

If your rental period ends on a Sunday or public holiday, you will have the next business day to return the dress.

If you have locally picked up your dress and your rental period ends on a Sunday or public holiday, you will have the next business day to return the dress.

E.g. If you choose a rental period from Tuesday 04/07 - Friday 07/07, Vestrr will have the dress clean and ready for you to pick up or delivered by Tuesday 04/07. As your rental period ends on a Friday, it is your responsibility to return the dress by 5pm Friday 07/07 by your selected delivery method.

What is a Vestrr Credit Voucher?

Vestrr Credit Vouchers are issued for any change of minds or rental cancellations. Vestrr Credit Vouchers are subject to the following terms:

  • Credit Vouchers can be redeemed for Apparel hire online
  • Credit vouchers cannot be refunded
  • Credit Vouchers are valid for six (6) months from the date of issue
  • Any unused balance will remain on the Credit Voucher
  • Credit Vouchers may not be reloaded

What if I’m not in love with the dress I just booked?

We understand that it is possible that when the dress arrives, it may not be what you expected. Vestrr has provided detailed information with regards to the dresses that are listed. 

If your 4-day rental period has not begun and you wish to cancel your booked order, please contact Vestrr and we will gladly issue you a full refund of the Rental Fee in a Credit Voucher, including the Shipping fee if any.

If you have just received your dress and do not love the dress, Vestrr will gladly issue you a full refund in the Rental Fee less the Shipping fee if any, in a Credit Voucher, if you contact Vestrr and return the dress within 24 hours of receiving it.

What if the dress does not fit?

Vestrr has provided detailed information with regards to the dresses that are listed. It is your responsibility to ensure that the dress you have rented is the right size. If the dress does not fit, Vestrr will gladly issue you a full refund of the Rental Fee minus $25 service fee, in a Credit Voucher, if you contact us and return the dress within 24 hours of receiving the dress. Please refer to Vestrr's terms of service for our refund policy.

Vestrr's comprehensive website allows anyone to find the perfect dress for their next occasion. Browse by style, colour, size or brand. The options are limitless!

How long is a rental?

Each rental period is 4 days. The dress will arrive in the mail, or ready for you to pick up by the first day of your 4 day rental period, unless otherwise organised.

If you had chosen for the dress to be delivered via post, the dress must be returned and dropped off at a postal office by 5pm of the 4th day of the rental period or in a yellow Express Postal Box.

If you have arranged to pick up the dress, please return the dress by the agreed date. In the case that the 4th day is a Saturday, Sunday or public holiday, you must drop off the dress by the following business day.

Gentle reminders will be sent to you towards the end of your rental period as we would hate for you to incur any late return fee(s).

When should I make a reservation for a dress?

Vestrr recommends you to make a reservation for a dress anytime up to 2 days prior to the day you wish to wear the dress.

When does my rental period start?

Your rental period starts from the date you receive the dress. You will receive the dress on or before the starting date of your 4 day rental period. Where you have received the dress before the start of your 4 day rental period, you will be bound by the terms of a rental, which can be found here.

Once your rental has been confirmed, your payment method will be charged for the entire rental amount.

The transaction is facilitated on the Vestrr site. Vestrr uses a secure payment system and accepts payments via debit card and credit card.

Why isn’t my promotion code working?

Promotion codes are only valid for the specified time frame they are valid. It could be that the promotion has expired.

Where can I find my order number?

Your order number can be found on your invoice which is emailed to you after payment of the rental. Your order number can also be found in your order summary email.

What’s your refund policy?

Vestrr will issue full refunds if the size, colour or brand described on Vestrr does not match the dress. If this occurs, please contact us and return the dress within 24 hours of receiving it. You must drop off the dress using the provided postage bag and paid express label and have it scanned at an Australia Post, or dropped off in a yellow postal box within 24 hours, otherwise Vestrr will assume the rental is proceeding. Vestrr will issue you a full refund of the Rental Fee including any shipping fees upon receiving the unworn dress. Please note that Vestrr is not liable if the dress arrives late, due to occurrences from Australia Post.

If your rental period has commenced and you have a change of mind or if the dress does not fit, please contact us and Vestrr will issue you a full refund of the Rental Fee less the Shipping fee if any, in a Credit Voucher. In this situation, you must return the dress via our office, by dropping it in a yellow postal box or have it scanned at an Australia Post within 24 hours, otherwise Vestrr will assume the rental is proceeding.

If your rental period has not begun and you have a change of mind and wish to cancel the order, please contact us and Vestrr will issue you a full refund of the Rental Fee, including the Shipping fee, in a Credit Voucher.

How do I change my rental dates after I’ve already placed my order?

If you would like to change your rental dates, please contact us at hello@vestrr.com before the beginning of your rental period. If the dress has already left Vestrr, or you have already picked up the dress, you cannot change your rental dates.

How do I cancel my order?

You must email Vestrr at hello@vestrr.com to cancel an order. If the Apparel has not been dispatched from Vestrr's premises, you will receive a full refund of the Rental Fee, including the Shipping fee if any, in a Credit Voucher. If the Apparel is in transit, or you have picked up your dress or have received your Apparel, by cancelling your order you must return the Apparel using the provided postage bag and paid express label, drop off the parcel and have it scanned at Australia Post or return the Apparel to the Vestrr office within 24 hours. When we have received the unworn Apparel, you will receive a full refund of the Rental Fee in a Credit Voucher.

What are my delivery options?

Upon checkout, you may choose to pay for shipping or elect to locally pick up the dress. Our shipping cost is $15 for return express shipping. The shipping cost includes delivery to you, and the return back to us (in a pre-paid satchel). Please note that shipping costs will apply per garment ordered. There is no charge for local pick up. Our pick-up location is at our office in Footscray located at 3/74 Maribyrnong Street, Footscray VIC 3011.

Where do I pick up my dress if I have chosen the Local Pickup option at checkout?

Your dress will be available for pick up from our reception from 9am - 5:30pm at the beginning of your rental period.

What time will my dress arrive?

You can expect to receive your dress before the starting date of your 4 day rental period or by 8pm latest on the first date of your 4 day rental period.

What if my dress arrives with pre-existing damage?

If the dress arrives with pre-existing damage, please contact us at hello@vestrr.com and return the dress within 24 hours of receiving it. If you do not do so, Vestrr will assume that the rental has gone ahead. Wearing the dress to your occasion will count as a normal rental.

How much does shipping cost?

Vestrr's shipping costs is $15 for return Express Delivery shipping via Australia Post. This fee includes delivery to you, and the return back to us (in a pre-paid satchel). Please note that shipping costs will apply per garment ordered.

Can you deliver to a hotel or another address besides my home?

Yes. Vestrr can deliver to a hotel or another address. However, you bear the responsibility for picking up the delivery.

Is a signature required for delivery?

No a signature is not required for delivery. However, if you are not available upon delivery, the package will be delivered to the closest postal office and you will bear the cost of redelivery.

My order hasn’t arrived yet. When can I expect to receive my rental?

Vestrr's operations ensures that your dress will arrive before or by 8pm of the starting date of your 4 day rental period. Vestrr is not liable for dresses which are delayed in transit due to Australia Post.

How do I return my order?

You must return the dress by the same method it arrived. If you had the dress delivered, you must express post the dress back to Vestrr using the provided postage-paid return bag, and drop it at your nearest Post Office or the yellow Express Postal Box. If you locally picked up the dress, please return the dress to the same address. Our office is open from 9am-6pm on weekdays for returns.

You are responsible for returning the dress on the 4th day of your rental period. A dress is considered returned when it is dropped off and scanned at Australia Post using the provided postage bag and paid express label, dropped off in the yellow Express Postal Box or dropped off at our Collingwood location. Late fees will apply if the dress is returned late.

If your rental period ends on a Sunday or public holiday, you will have the next business day to return the dress.

If you have locally picked up your dress and your rental period ends on a Sunday or public holiday, you will have the next business day to return the dress.

Late Fee Policy

All returns are time stamped. Every day you are late in returning a dress, you will be charged a fee of 30% of the Rental value of the dress each day overdue. Vestrr will provide you the date you will need to drop off the garment by. Please be aware of the date to avoid payment late fee(s).

If you have not returned the dress within ten (10) days after the end of the Rental Period, Vestrr will consider the dress as non-returned and will charge you for the non return.

Vestrr will not charge you more than an amount equal to 220% of the RRP. If you pay Vestrr an amount equal to 220% of the RRP in late fees and you still have the dress in your possession, the dress is yours to keep.

How long does it take to process my return?

Rentals are not complete until Vestrr has processed the return of the dress. It will take approximately 2-3 days to process your returns. Vestrr will inspect the garment to ensure no damages have been made before completing the rental transaction. You will receive an email once a return is processed.
